Hey everyone! My name is Ali Eman and this is going to my very first blog entry I have ever done in my life. I am an 18 year old college student that attends Glendale Community College in Glendale, Arizona. I was born and raised in Arizona and wouldn't want it any other way. I live with my mother, father, and older brother (who doubles as my best friend/greatest enemy).
I've always been very into sports, primarily basketball. I eat, sleep, breath, and dream about basketball. I am constantly on reddit.com/r/nba, this is where I get all my NBA news and highlights and keep up with the league. The NBA has pretty much became a drama show and I love every bit of it. Once the season starts, I watch a game a day usually while doing homework. I can name most players on most teams, their contracts their on, and their stats.
Playing basketball is also one of my biggest pass times, I love the competitive aspect and the art of the game. My favorite player is Donovan Mitchell and my favorite team is either the Jazz or the Trailblazers.
The next biggest thing I am into is weight lifting. Not for competitive purposes but just a great way to clear my mind and do something that is solely for me. Working on my body is something I hold dearly to myself. I went from being a nearly obese child to what I'd say a fit teenager, hopefully to become that similar of a silverback gorilla.
Hobbies aside from the gym would definitely be video games. Although I don't play nearly as much as I used to, video games hold a very close place to my heart. I grew up playing games hours on an end (probably didn't help with my health at the time), but nonetheless I have no regrets.
Maplestory. The game I played for OVER AN ENTIRE DECADE. I was an absolute junky. Nothing could keep me from this game, I'd play hours on-end as a child mindlessly grinding away at killing mushrooms. Achievements like leveling up my character in that game gave me a happiness I will forever reminisce over.
My aspirations in life are definitely simple but they are things I will never stop pushing for. I want to have a family. I want a wife, kids, a pet, and a house to ourselves. I want to experience the adult life. I want to get my degree so I can go on to doing bigger and better things. I'd love to be at a high "corporate level" for a company I feel passion for. Then as most other business majors, I want to have my own company. As far as what that company would be, I have no clue but it's something I want. I want to be on Shark Tank one day next to Mark Cuban making deals that will make my fortune last generations. I want my children to live a more comfortable life then the one I lived, but the values I carry will never be lost.
What sets me apart from others without a doubt is my motivation in life. When I want something to happen, I make it happen. I wanted to buy a new car before I was in college, I made it happen. I'm an 18 year old who capitalized on a $10,000 car loan and payed it off in less than 8 months. I wanted to have a plan to graduate with no debt whatsoever, everything is going according to plan. The goals I have set for myself in life, will happen and they will come through the passion and effort I put in. All the curve balls that are coming my way in life make me excited. At the end of the day everything is for the future. And my future is something that I will never fail.
